Strategy of the European Union in the area of information policy focused on libraianship

The aim of this thesis is to describe and evaluate policie, programs and projects of the European Union's information policy. It is focused on the librarianship with a reflection of Czech projects in this area. In the introduction, the so-called Bangemann report is mentioned, which is considered as a milestone in the development of information society. This report laid the foundation for other strategic documents, which were the eEurope, including following action plans. There are other two important documents mentioned in the following chapters, i.e. i2010 - European information society for growth and employment, and EUROPE 2020 - A strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. The core of the work is formed by a description of programs, funding European projects in the area of librarianship and projects, which originated from those programs. Given the trend of the 21st century is the digitization, projects in this area are described in this thesis. This is especially the European Digital Library, Europeana, and many other partial projects. The penultimate chapter is devoted to current projects in the field of digitization in the Czech Republic. Virtual National Phonoteque as the sector agregator of the sound cultural heritage

Národní technická knihovna je od r. 2018 správcem a provozovatelem Virtuální národní fonotéky (VNF). Z pověření Ministerstva kultury pro VNF vyplývá také povinnost plnit funkci sektorového agregátora pro oblast zvukových dokumentů ve vztahu k chystanému národnímu informačnímu kulturnímu portálu. Původním a základním posláním VNF je být agregovanou databází metadat zvukových dokumentů, s odkazy do lokálních portálů a katalogů institucí různého typu a s informacemi o podmínkách dostupnosti požadovaných nahrávek. Usilujeme o to, aby se VNF ubírala i dalšími směry, které by rozvíjely tyto primární funkce tak, aby se Fonotéka stala vstupním bodem pro zájemce o problematiku zvukových dokumentů a přispěla k záchraně a prezentaci národního zvukového kulturního dědictví. Zde se neobejdeme bez spolupráce s dalšími partnery v oblasti zvukových dokumentů.

Mikulášek's productions Europeana and Trapná muka

The thesis' subject is an analysis of two productions by one of the most distinct Czech theatre directors, Jan Mikulášek. Based on her own experiences as a spectator, reviews and analyses in newspapers and theatre magazines, the authoress attempted to describe and analyse the stylistic features of Mikulášek's stage directions, using Trapná muka and Europeana as examples. Since both of the productions are based on originally non-dramatic texts, the thesis will also deal with the strategies of adaptation in addition to stage direction, acting and the visual and musical components. In the analysises of the productions are also included the contexts of the formation of the originál books and also the productions. In the end the thesis aims at a comparison of both productions and points to various differences which appear within the coherent directorial style common to both productions.

Significant European national digital libraries

This bachleor thesis focuses on two main objectives. First objective is to map and describe selected national digital libraries in Europe. Second objetive is to describe its cooperation with Europeana portal. Definitions of basic terms are mentioned in the first chapter. Theoretical part of this thesis comprises of description of qualitative and quantitative characteristics of selected NDL according to mentioned model. This model concentrates on user accessibility, description of provided materials and description of web sites. Pactical part consists of comparison of the research outcomes and description of the cooperation with Europeana portal on general and specific level.
